On May 21, 2021, the 2021 annual council of the Sino Australian Traditional Chinese Medicine Center jointly established by Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the University of Western Sydney was held in the Chinese Medicine Experience Hall of our university in the form of video conference. The meeting was attended by Professor Xu Anlong, President of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Zhang Liping, Assistant President of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Tang Minke, Director of the International, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Work Department, Professor Ye Yong’an, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongzhimen Hospital Zhang Danying, Associate Researcher of the National Center for International Communication of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Professor Wei Shengli, Associate Dean of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Professor Baney Glover, President of the University of Western Sydney; Professor Yi Chen Lan, Vice President; and Professor Dennis Chang, Director of the National Center for Alternative Medicine Research. In addition, Professor Xiaoshu Zhu, co director of the Sino Australian Traditional Chinese Medicine Center, and Zhao Qi, deputy chief physician also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Professor Zhu Xiaoshu reported on the activities carried out by the TCM Center in 2020. All directors fully affirmed the achievements of the Center in TCM education, scientific research, clinical medicine and cultural exchanges, and discussed the future development plan in depth. Subsequently, the two sides discussed the possible cooperation between schools and decided to provide sufficient resources for the cooperation between the two schools to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
