On October 25, our school held a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Tongrentang Group. Gu Xiaohong, Secretary of the University Party Committee, Xu Anlong, President, Zhai Shuangqing, Vice President, Liu Tonghua, Vice President, Wang Guiping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Beijing Tongrentang Group, Xiao Huili, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Group, Ding Yongling, Member of the Standing Committee, Director and Deputy General Manager of the Party Committee of the Group, Gu Haiou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Group, Wen Qin, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, and leaders of relevant departments of both parties attended the signing ceremony, which was presided over by Gu Xiaohong, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university.
Secretary Gu Xiaohong extended a warm welcome to Tongrentang and his delegation for signing a contract in our university, pointing out that the university and Tongrentang Group are in the same city as Beijing. Tongrentang Group has a large number of alumni of Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine. Both sides have frequent exchanges and a solid foundation for cooperation. The cooperation between the two sides should earnestly implement the important spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on education, talent and science and technology, find the right starting point, integrate resources, complement each other’s advantages, cooperate sincerely, and work together for win-win results, so as to jointly promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine to achieve new achievements.
Wang Guiping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Tongrentang Group, said that Tongrentang and Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine had years of deep feelings and cooperation foundation, and believed that this cooperation could and would be great. Through the visit and exchange, he personally felt the ability, level and great love of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and said that the next cooperation will continue to deepen and sublimate on the original basis, add new momentum to the development of both sides, cultivate new advantages, and jointly contribute to building a healthy China.
Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has rich resources in education, science and technology and human resources. Tongrentang has transformed its scientific research and improved its industrial chain resources. The strategic cooperation between the two sides is highly complementary. Both sides should give full play to their respective advantages, empower each other, and jointly create a benchmark brand for Chinese medicine to go global. After many discussions, our school and Tongrentang Group further clarified the main direction of future cooperation. The two sides will integrate superior resources and carry out all-round cooperation in the discipline construction, talent training, scientific and technological research and development, international cooperation, etc. of traditional Chinese medicine.
